Our Services
We are pleased to offer our services for a large range of structural and civil engineering requirements. We have had extensive experience and offer a prompt and professional service for:
Soil & Geotechnical Investigations & Report
Testing to determine the most economic and suitable foundation recommendations for individual sites due to the soil types and strengths encountered. Slope stability analysis can be carried out if required.
Onsite Waste Water Disposal Investigations & Design
Testing to determine the site requirements needed for waste water systems to cater for specific building plans.
Structural Design & Drawing
Foundations • Beam/Lintel • Steelworks • Masonry Building • Retaining Wall • Residential • Industrial • Commercial • Smaller Subdivisions • Farm Bridge & Cattle Underpasses • Telecommunication Masts & Towers.
Project Management
Management of varying project sizes including construction monitoring, problem solving and offering building advice & guidance.
Onsite Storm Water Disposal Investigations & Design
Percolation testing to determine the most economic stormwater disposal design to cater for individual sites and building requirements.
Site Observations
Supervising construction and long term monitoring to ensure appropriate construction methods are carried out.
Work undertaken includes the Structural and Civil Engineering Design and Observation of a wide range of works including but not limited to:
Communications
Extensive inspections and reports for telecom providers (7-yearly) and Transpower NZ of various towers including stayed pole, tubular and lattice towers.
Pools
We have undertaken a variety of swimming pool designs
Earthquake Assessment
We have carried out over 350 assessments in the past 2 years and can also provide earthquake strengthening design if required.
Housing
Ranging from foundations for simple dwellings on piled foundations over soft and peat soils to complex upmarket substantial dwellings in all types of materials.
Commerical
Retail, offices, motels and hotels ranging from small to large scale projects in all types of materials but usually less than 4 levels. We currently provide civil and structural design services for McDonalds Restaurants (NZ).
Industrial
Simple portal framed structures to large heavy workshops and large high stud warehouses. Projects often include concrete thin panel or concrete block walls and racking or overhead gantry cranes. Dairy industry; grain handling, and processing plants with multilevel construction have been designed.
Educational
Classrooms, school halls, ablution blocks and gymnasiums have been undertaken.
Non-Destructive Testing
We have a range of non-destructive testing equipment in our Hamilton Based Office. One of our experienced staff members is happy to assist by traveling to site and helping you with this. Do you need testing carried out on of your projects? Your testing requirements:
NDT James Rebarscope - RC400
The Rebarscope enables the user to not only locate reinforcement bars but also determine rebar depth and the rebar size. It is also capable of locating non-ferrous metals: such as copper, aluminium, some stainless steels, wire, and more.
NDT James W-M-250 Rebound Hammer (Schimidt Hammer)
Often referred to as a Schmidt or Swiss Hammer, the manual rebound concrete test hammer is the most widely used nondestructive instrument which provides a quick and simple test for obtaining an immediate indication of concrete strength in various applications.
Geotechnics Impact Tester (Clegg)
The Clegg Impact Soil Tester provides a means for measuring and controlling soil strength and consolidation levels in various construction applications. A precision accelerometer mounted on the hammer feeds its output to a handheld digital readout unit.
